G'day mate! name's E. Aster Bunnymund, but most people call me Bunny. I'm the guardian of hope & an avid egg enthusiast. Feel free to yarn on a bit with me anytime ya like!
“Ya call this Spring?” Bunnymund leaped from his hole and surveyed the snow dusted neighborhood, glowing white in the calm April night. Sticking strictly to his annual schedule, E. Aster Bunnymund made yet another stop on his global trek to prep the world for Spring time and scout out paths for his eggs.“Crikey Jack, it’s April mate. I ain’t gonna letcha have all the fun!” He chuckled and tapped his foot. Dainty pink aster flowers sprung up between his furry toes. A carpet of fresh grass began to creep out, bursting out of the snow like that blasted ground hog.“There.” The Pooka proudly placed his paws on his hips. “That oughta do it! This place will be ready for Easter in no time!” He pulled an egg-shaped pocketwatch from his egg holster pockets. Swirls and ancient inscriptions danced across the well-polished silver. He clicked it open and gasped. “Crikey I’m late!” he snapped the watch closed. He swiftly turned to the hold behind him but stopped abruptly. Nose twitching, ears flattened against his neck, eyes darting. Bunnymund felt a presence. Someone was watching him. But what? Who?
The smallish figure flicked it's ears, and one of her feet gave a loud low thump for the male's attention. Since she couldn't speak, she used her feet to get the person's attention.
Paintbrush in hand, Bunnymund was in full focus. Easter was months away but the pooka was working as if it were tomorrow. In self-made silence, he nimbly coated the egg in intricate swirls and stars. Suddenly, he felt his ear twitch. “Not now.” He mumbled to the ear. The ear twitched again. One twitch was nothing, but two? Something must be up. He listened and heard a thump from behind him. Bunnymund’s nose twitched. Paws lowering slowly to his boomerangs, he chuckled. “Not on your nelly” And in a flash he whipped around, game face on and boomerangs in hand. “Can’t sneak up on me, Jack!” He laughed. But instead of the usual frosty prankster, a little rabbit stood before him. He froze for a moment, eyes wide, but lowered his boomerangs the next. “ello there.” He cocked his head slightly, confused by the sudden visitor. “umm..welcome to the Warren.”
